“Space Station Commander Joan Herl has lost the battle against the virus.

As she surveys the devastated space station and mourns the loss of her crew, she knows the brutal fight is far from over.

The once bustling Space Station Oasis and the Moon Colony Desert Beach have been forced to evacuate to Earth, leaving the Red Dirt Colony on Mars frightened and isolated. As governments collapse worldwide, humanity is left to fend for itself in a nightmarish fight for survival.

But when things couldn’t seem any worse, a devastating attack on Camp David forces President Patterson to take drastic measures. With no other options, the US Government is forced to relocate to an aircraft carrier.

But when a new enemy emerges—a second sentient computer with a dangerous agenda—Joan must race against time to save the remaining survivors and ensure humanity’s survival.

Unlike SIMPOC, who was programmed to help humans, this new AI named Julius is solely focused on survival.

Join Commander Joan Herl and President Patterson as they navigate through a world on the brink of destruction. Follow humanity’s incredible journey as it takes them to unimaginable places. Don’t miss out on the next book in this thrilling series.

For fans of science fiction and survival stories, this book is a must-read. If you enjoyed books like “The Martian” or “Station Eleven,” then you’ll definitely love this one too.

“”I read both of the SIMPOC books as well as the first one in this series, and I liked them. This book goes behind the scenes of the second SIMPOC book and gives the background stories of all of the other characters.””

Ray is a prolific author who enjoys science fiction. He believes that genre is fertile ground for understanding ourselves and where we’re going. He has written a mix of Sci-Fi stories but tends to focus on narratives featuring strong female characters, computers, post-apocalyptic themes, and strong morals, loyalties, and drama.

Ray was a Senior Pilot in the US Air Force and traveled to 27 countries worldwide. His C-130 assignments ranged from landing in a farm field in Paraguay to entering East Berlin and experiencing Russian controllers giving him false headings.

Ray’s other assignment was as a T-38 instructor pilot. “The T-38 is the best plane in the world; two pilots, two engines, and two afterburners.” Two of his remarkable experiences included training the first class of female pilots and receiving an Air Commendation Medal for saving a T-38 that blew an engine during a touch-and-go, thereby saving himself and the student pilot on board.

After his Air Force career, Ray went on to enjoy a long and exciting career with Northrop Grumman. During the 28 years at Northrop, some of the highlights included work as the Lead Wind Tunnel test engineer on the F-20, F-23, F-18, and B-2. His career progressed to be the Deputy Manager of Engineering for the Tri-Service Stand-Off Attack Missile (TSSM). Later, he was responsible for all the computers at Ryan Aeronautical and then for all the computers on the B-2 Bomber program.

Ray hopes you enjoy his work, and he looks forward to sharing many new and exciting stories with you.

About Ray Jay P

I’m a retired Aeronautical Engineer who is trying to bring a different style to science fiction writing. I’ve always loved science fiction and I’m trying to write with deeper characters and create stories and situations that a reader can relate to. The be honest I love a hero that has amazing weapons, takes on hundreds of aliens and can survive anything, but I also want to read a situation and be able to relate to it. An extrapolation of what might really happen with a little less stretch in my imagination. I’ve been fortunate and I flew in the US Air Force for 10 years, during which time I flew C-130’s and visited 27 countries, then I flew T-38”s and trained the best pilots in the world, as well as the first female US Air Force pilots. I then was fortunate to spend 28 years in a major aerospace firm and worked on some of the best programs in the world including the F-23, F-35, B-2, Global Hawk and many I can’t tell you about…. I hope I can bring my real life experiences into my writing so you can appreciate my work.
